What does it support?
TIP-iT can support certified structured training, in-house course development, foundational and specialised tourism skills, leadership development, overseas attachments, exchange programmes and stretch assignments.
Who can apply?
The scheme is primarily for Singapore-registered tourism businesses. Companies playing important supporting roles in tourism may also be eligible for relevant training projects, subject to STB assessment.
How does the support work?
The scheme is reimbursement-based. STB evaluates the appropriate support level based on the applicant, training scope and expected outcomes; the current public page does not provide one universal percentage or project cap.
What expenditure can qualify?
Eligible categories can include course fees, living allowance, economy airfare, absentee payroll, trainer and course-development fees, and eligible leadership-development costs including trainee stipends where applicable.
Key conditions
The training project must not have commenced before application and should generate measurable capability, productivity, advanced-role or leadership outcomes. General staff training without a clear tourism business and workforce objective is a weaker fit.
Timing and application process
TIP-iT remains available on STB's current Tourism Development Fund pages without a fixed public closing date. Companies should engage STB before committing the supported programme.
Define the workforce capability gap, select the training or leadership intervention, quantify target employee and business outcomes, prepare the programme schedule and costs, and submit an executive summary to STB before the formal application stage.
Is this scheme relevant to your project?
A strong fit is an employer-led tourism workforce programme tied to specialised skills, leadership or role progression. A weak fit is generic training unrelated to tourism business needs or training already started before application.
How Reeve | R&D supports the scheme
Reeve | R&D can manage the incentive workstream - eligibility assessment, project structuring, funding or tax-benefit modelling, application preparation, agency interaction and post-award requirements - while the company remains the formal applicant where required by the programme.
