Periodic Call

Local ownership

Local ownership requirement applies

Closing date

20 January 2027

What does it support?

The call brings companies together to develop innovative products, processes or services with commercial potential. It covers collaborative industrial R&D rather than the purchase of an existing technology.

Who can apply?

A Singapore participant should be registered and operating locally and able to finance its share of the work. Enterprise Singapore’s national eligibility rules apply. The consortium must include an eligible Japanese startup or SME; partners from other participating countries may join where the call permits.

How does the support work?

Singapore funding requires national approval from Enterprise Singapore. The 2026 Singapore-specific rate and cash cap have not been verified in current published national guidance, so applicants should not budget using a previous call’s terms.

What expenditure can qualify?

Eligible R&D and innovation costs depend on both the Eureka call and Enterprise Singapore’s national funding rules. Confirm the Singapore budget basis before finalising the consortium proposal.

Key conditions

The consortium must be company-led, collaborative and innovative. Although the international call is open, Enterprise Singapore’s dedicated Japan page still refers to the previous closed call. Obtain confirmation of Singapore participation terms and submission steps.

Timing and application process

The international window runs from 7 October 2026 to 20 January 2027. Applications use the Eureka portal. Contact Enterprise Singapore before submission to confirm the national funding and Business Grants Portal requirements.

Important programme distinctions

An open international call is not confirmation of Singapore’s funding rate. The Singapore company needs both a credible international proposal and clarity on its national approval route.
