What does it support?
The call supports development and testing of solutions to the problem statements published by participating organisations. Work may involve a prototype, a proof of concept or validation of a proposed solution with the challenge owner.
Who can apply?
Technology companies, startups and other solution providers can apply where they can meet a live challenge's requirements. There is no programme-wide local ownership requirement, but individual challenges have their own eligibility and technical criteria.
How does the support work?
The challenge owner sets the prize amount upfront. Companies should assess that amount alongside the proposed proof-of-concept milestones and deliverables: there is no universal IMDA funding percentage or maximum award across Call 30.
What expenditure can qualify?
Support relates to the solution-development or proof-of-concept work specified by the challenge. The individual terms determine the supportable costs and milestones; companies should not assume that the same budget categories apply across different challenges.
Key conditions
The proposal must address a specific challenge statement. Before committing to the work, establish what the challenge owner expects from the proof of concept, how the parties will collaborate, and the intellectual-property and commercial terms attached to the project.
Timing and application process
Call 30 closes on 13 November 2026 at 16:00 Singapore time. Review the live problem statements on the OIP portal, select the relevant challenge and prepare a response to its stated requirements before the deadline.
Important programme distinctions
OIP is a challenge-led route to developing and validating a solution with a potential user. The available prize is funded by the challenge owner and should be evaluated against that challenge's scope, rather than treated as a standard grant available for any technology project.
