PUB Global Innovation Challenge (GIC) – Cycle 5

What does it support?

Cycle 5 sought solutions to PUB’s water-sector challenges, including prototype refinement, development, testing and live pilots.

Who can apply?

The cycle was open to companies and eligible technology innovators worldwide capable of addressing a stated challenge and delivering the proposed pilot.

How does the support work?

Selected pilots could receive milestone-linked support of up to S$500,000 each. This was the ceiling for that closed cycle, not a current offer to new applicants.

What expenditure can qualify?

Approved budgets could include prototype refinement, hardware and software development, testing and site-testing costs tied to pilot milestones.

Key conditions

Selected solutions underwent challenge evaluation and milestone-based delivery with PUB and relevant operational or test-bed stakeholders.

Timing and application process

Cycle 5 closed at 4pm Singapore time on 17 November 2025. A new submission requires a newly announced application round; the past cycle remains available here for reference.

Important programme distinctions

A future challenge may have different scope, milestones and funding terms. Do not build a new project budget on the assumption that Cycle 5 terms remain available.
