Local ownership

Local ownership requirement applies

What does it support?

The facility supports finance for qualifying acquisitions of domestic or overseas businesses and assets as part of growth or internationalisation plans.

Who can apply?

The applicant must be registered and operating in Singapore, have at least 30% local shareholding and group annual sales of no more than S$500 million. The proposed acquisition must qualify.

How does the support work?

Standard Government lender risk-sharing is 50%, with 70% available for eligible young enterprises and specified categories. Product limits sit within the S$50 million overall EFS borrower-group exposure ceiling.

What expenditure can qualify?

The approved facility finances the acquisition. It is not reimbursement of transaction costs under a grant programme.

Key conditions

The transaction must meet Enterprise Singapore’s facility rules and the participating lender’s credit conditions. Domestic acquisition financing became a permanent feature on 1 April 2026.

Timing and application process

Apply through a participating financial institution and establish the transaction’s eligibility alongside the credit assessment.

Important programme distinctions

Domestic deals are included, but inclusion is not automatic approval. The business retains the full loan repayment obligation.
