What does it support?

The Standard Scheme supports eligible pre-approved mechanisation, robotics and sensor equipment. The Innovation Scheme supports development of equipment and solutions that are not readily available commercially, including appropriate work with research institutions or technology providers.

Who can apply?

Landscape, orchid and ornamental-fish companies must hold the relevant valid NParks licence or registration. Companies should confirm the complete applicant conditions, including any ownership requirements, with NParks before applying.

How does the support work?

Successful Standard applications may receive up to 50% of equipment cost, while Innovation applications may receive up to 50% of eligible project cost. NParks assesses the proposed activity and required evidence. Obtain confirmation of the current applicable funding ceiling before making a financing plan.

What expenditure can qualify?

Qualifying expenditure can include approved equipment, digital solutions and eligible innovation-project costs under the selected route. The appropriate cost basis depends on whether the business is purchasing listed equipment or developing a new solution.

Key conditions

  • Maintain the relevant NParks licence or registration.
  • Demonstrate at least 30% productivity improvement for Standard applications or 50% for Innovation applications.
  • Meet NParks' quotation and proposal requirements for the selected equipment or development activity.
  • Collaboration with an institute of higher learning or external technology provider is permitted for Innovation projects; it is not a universal requirement for every application.

Timing and application process

Standard applications use the Business Grants Portal. For the Innovation route, first send a proposal brief to [email protected]; proceed with the portal submission when invited by NParks. Applications operate on a rolling basis.

Important programme distinctions

The productivity improvement target is separate from the funding percentage: a Standard project needs a 30% productivity outcome even though funding can reach 50%. Historical funding ceilings announced in 2023 are not presented here as confirmed current limits.
